For those who do not know, the management behind Orlando’s Walt Disney World Resort has decided to close Mickey’s Toontown Fair to give way to a bigger and better Fantasyland. It may be sad news for people who love Mickey’s Toontown Fair and are looking forward to buy Magic Kingdom tickets and return there, but come to think of it, its cessation of operations on February 12, 2011 can be regarded as a blessing in disguise. This will also mean not only more space, but also more attractions to see in Fantasyland by the year 2013.
Purchasing Magic Kingdom tickets does not limit guests to the existing attractions like boat, train, rocket, coaster, cruise and carousel rides, as well as replicas of places popularized by Disney animation and live action movies. A ticket can also lead to the opportunity of meeting live characters and mascots through various entertainment activities. Meet-and-greet events usually take place with characters such as Pirates of the Carribean’s Captain Jack Sparrow, Mickey Mouse and his gang, Rapunzel, and the newest additions Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen of the movie The Princess and the Frog.
